The festivals and events seem to run non-stop so even if you’ve missed out on some of the local favourites there’s definitely still something left for you to enjoy. The popular annual four-day outdoor music event is happening this weekend August 10-13 but if you don’t already have tickets you don’t need to panic. Tickets are being sold on ticketmaster and we’ve also seen plenty on Kijiji. Check out the website for schedules and artists at edmontonfolkfest.org
In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday admission is free to all four of Edmonton’s outdoor pools. Head down to local favorites like Millcreek Ravine to relax and soak in the sunshine on a hot day.
University of Alberta Botanical Garden
Looking for great data idea? Date nights at the botanical gardens are free with admission every Thursday with a new theme every week. Enjoy food, scenery, and the garden bar while you partake in the activities or enjoy the gardens on your own. Unfortunately, they do not supply dates so you’ll have to get your own. Watch A Movie At Churchill Square
Round up your family, friends, or significant other checkout Churchill Square for the ultimate outdoor movie experience in Edmonton. Movies on the square is a free outdoor movie series happening Tuesday nights. Upcoming shows including Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as well as Beauty And The Beast. Pembina River Tubing
Want to get out of the city? A short one hour drive will get you to Entwhistle where you’ll find the Pembina River Tubing Company. They provide tubes for your adventure as well transportation back to your car when you’re done lazily floating down the river for a few hours.
